Bit of a weird one.
My starter motor has failed - given that the motor rattles, I suspect that the brushes have fallen apart.
When removing it, I discovered that the connector was snapped.
I'm just wondering if anyone has seen this before and whether it coincided with a starter failure.
I'm trying to work out if I broke it undoing the nut or perhaps if the brushes were shorting and it got hot and broke.
Also, I've not looked in too hard - how difficult is it to change the cable out? I've redrilled what is left for now, and was planning on sandwiching it with a couple of washers just to be on the safe side, but ultimately I'd like to change the csble as its already on the short side - I think cutting and crimping another connector would leave it too short.
