Steering boss with oem 182 wheel ??

I find it very hard to get a comfortable seating position as I'm tall but have to sit close to the wheel to reach it, as there's no reach adjustability. So i'm wondering if its possible to fit a steering boss (is it called a boss??) to the standard OEM 182 wheel (with cruise control) to bring the steering wheel out??

If so, what would you recommend?

Imdont think it's possible, because the wiring for airbag etc wouldn't be long enough. Putting a 197 wheel/airbag on is a fairly easy job iirc, and although no smaller it's slightly dished which brings it closer.
