for some unknown reason something clicks quite loudly when i am turning the steering wheel. it only happens now and again and only when i am going very slowly, like turning around or something.
Wots wrong?
Im getting the exact same problem. im going to mention it when i take it in for warranty work on wednesday. Just another thing to add to this list of a car manufactured in 2004 (rolls eyes) still live the lil beast mines a 1.4 mk2 ph2.
Gearbox/engine mounts expected to have excessive play
cable in seat for letting passangers in back broke
dipped beam stopped functioning.
Clicking steering wheel
Coil gone (repaired last month)
thats all i can remember but there are a couple of other things i think. Booked in on wednesay and waiting for ''we couldn't diagnose the fault'' excuses. Milage is going on a post it note too.. last time there were 2 bars on the fuel guage and came back very far into the red (3 litres in the tank)
Im going to reset the trip computer. The MPG figure will give a decent accuracy as to how much they have been thrashing it.
My mate works at pizza hut just down the road from my local reanult garage. He said 3 grease monkeys in reanult overalls came in for a take away in a blue 182. They then asked how long it would be. When they were told 20 mins they said they would come back. one said to the other that they needed to come back as they were expecting the customer back. He then watched them kane it out of the car park.
