Steering wheel shaking

Hi Everyone

My steering wheel started shaking violently this morning when doing 40, it lasted for about half a mile then stopped, is there anything that i should check to see if there is any issues.

Check your wheel hasn't come loose.

Yeah checked that mate, its strange because it went away and didnt come back for the next 40 miles to work.

Right i have checked everything on the front now, and it did it again this morning for about 30 seconds at 40mph, the shakin gradually came god really violent and then went again.
Any ideas would be a great help.

No all nice and straight, it doesnt do it all the time

Tyres imbalance... rubbers heat up a bit and the wobble's gone?

Going straight wobbling or when turning wobbling?

does it in a straight line and when turning, its happened twice after driving for about 10 mins, but has then been ok after for ages, i have driven over 300 miles and its done it twice.
