Stella Artois Cold air induction

Have a look in Tesco at the Stella Artois barrel you can buy. £15.99 for 5 litres of beer, BUT, check out that barrel as a heat shield for a K&N. Looks ideal to me. Cut a hole in one end fit the K&N into it and have a cold air hose coming up from the bottom of the car. The adapter for the barrel even fits a green cold air feed pipe. Ive measured it. hmmmmmmmmm. beer

Ive already put my filter in a 4ltr size icecream tub. Plastic is a better insulator you know, and the lid comes off easily for a quick clean or change.

Hey, Ive been thinking about using bake bean tins as a tail pipe trim. I was thinking of either using 2 normal sized tines or just one king size tin. What do you think?

I really want to get something made specifically, there is a guy I play football with.... he makes allu pipes for a living so I am going to messure up a pipe from my carb to far apoint in my engine bay as possible and hell make me it hmmmm nice and shiny...... just need someone to make me a decent plastic heatshield now....

Hey at least youll have a great time making it!! Down the 5 litres and see if you can make the shield before the alcohol takes effect...

A guy off RSC made one out of a roses tin, it looked bloody stupid but probably worked!! Using plastic tubs though is not a good idea, hot engine = melted plastic everywhere!
