My thoughts exactly. Its not rocket science if your even slightly mechanically minded. I did mine with no guide, and i'd never touched suspension before. Just unbolted the old springs and shocks and bolt the coillies on the same.....

  Looking for 182
One thing the guide doesn't have which I would be keen to know is the exact tools required. I don't have my own tools so would buy the exact things I need. Could anyone help?

Thanks

Jack, Axel Stands, Tyre Iron, 19mm Socket & Spanner, 21mm Socket & Swan Neck Spanner, 17mm Deep socket / Spanner... I'm probably missing loads, but it's a start.

Yea the only 'specialist' tool that you might need would be the swan neck spanner, for undoing the top mounts.
Other than that just a decent socket set,
oh and some mole grips or pliers to hold the rear strut thread bit to stop it spinning when undoing the top nut on the rear shocks I found.

o rite cheers .. its my first suspension change so was just wondering from others experience thanks 4 the heads up and will post pics when i have done it .. thanks aaron

Especially not for rear springs... they just pull out with little effort.

I used compressors for the fronts, just to be on the safe side as the 1*2 springs do still have compression in them.

One bit of kit i found essential for undoing the front top strut nut was a cordless battery impact driver. Couldn't undo it until i borrowed one. tried soaking it with oil, wd40 and even getting heat on it but no joy. Borrowed an impact gun and had it off in seconds!
