stereo - tel mute?

right im having problems installing my LG-lac4700r stereo, everytime i turn it on, it reads 'tel mute'. ive tried looking up for troubleshooters on the net but have not had any luck hence the reason this is my first post here (but most definately not the last), has anyone had this type of problem before with similar types of stereos...

please help asap

dude i bought a lg headunit for my mk1 and had the same problem i spent days trying to sort it and somehow it ended up being a wiring fault but my head unit only worked when the headlights were on try your lights haha

The iso plug on the back of the unit has a telephone mute on it have a look here
