Sticker/decal outlines on paint work

  Suzuki Ignis Sport
After removing badges from my Ignis, i'm left with a very faint outline of the badge, only visible in some sunlight.

And also in tunnel light, u can see the side panels with 'SUZUKI' written on the side, from the previous sticker that once was there.

Any idea how i can get his off?

Tried using "intensive tar remover"?

Many different manufacturers do some sort of product that does this, I use AutoGlym and it's really good.

About £6 from Halfords.

If this doesn't help, best thing to do is buff it.

Tried claying, intensive tar remover, and t cut, still nothing, better, but still visible.

I was thinking rotary buffer would be the only option. Might need to ask Russ

You don't need a polisher to remove it. Usefull yes but it can be done without.

Purchase some 3000grit wet and dry off a detailing website, sand it a little bit an polish it up with a mild cut compound by hand.

Me + Sand paper + car paint work = don't mix!

Hmmmmm, Could well be the paint under the laquer on the car has faded over time, and the paint underneath the badges has remained the same as it left the factory.

Tough one to call really.

It's not that major, but noticeable in dim light, and at specific angles.

I'd be inclined to go with faded then.

Deffinately worth getting the area wet sanded and machine polished though, just to make sure.

Get some 3000 grit sandpaper from Halfords (think they do it) for a couple of ££, get some cutting compound and go over the area with the paper first but not too hard as you'll go through the lacquor. Go over the top with cutting compound (best to use with a rotary) and then polish with rotary and buffing pad.
