sticking clutch pedal- help!!

was about to pull away earlier, put the clutch down, into gear, start lifting left foot.......huh! the clutch pedal wasnt following my foot like it usually does. then suddenly it just jumped up and hit the bottom of my foot, stalling the car! seems that the pedal sticks down if u put it to the floor, which made town driving very interesting until i mastered the technique of either not stopping, or not pressing the pedal all the way to the floor!

any ideas?

ddnt just stick on the carpet did it?? i did it with the throttle once where it got caught on the mat - thats worse.

get down and have a look in the light if it isnt the mat, maybe sticking on the linkage. if its at the clutch end, i dont know!

seems weird tho, it was only standing for about an hour between coming home from work and going out again. and it was fine when i left it!

grrrr seems to be one thing after another lately!

Check what paul said, you can find if u use the clutch with more pressure to one side they will start to bend and arch.

Probably a snagged/worn clutch cable! £15 repair!

seems to have fixed itself now!! weird or what!
