sticky throtle..........

so what the problem? do i need it replaced? and how much +labout charges from renault. any help would be very appreciated.

I had a sticky accelerator, I just fired some WD40 down the cable and its been fine for months now

This was on a Williams though so might not be applicable, im sure someone will know

WD40 down the cable from the throttle linkage under the bonnet. Worked fine on my MK1 172

No idea on a 172 but you can;t miss the accelerator cable on the Willy, get some one to rev the car while you look under the hood, the bit that moves is your cable or it could be chocolate engine mounts..lol. Anyway spray WD in the cable housing if you will.

right
