stop / brake light on dash

on the girlfreinds car (clio 172) the brake light and the stop light keep flickering on and off when she is driving along mainly after she has set off going up an hill has any one any ideas whats causing it and how to stop it

there should be a plastic switch/plug on base of handbrake, below carpet check this as was often problem on clios.

could be a duff earth on it

check the brake fluid reservoir level.

ye.. check your fluids.. they are gonna be most affected by elevation.
