Strengthened wheel hub carrier

  Black 182 + Recaros

The 182 brochure says it has a strengthened wheel hub carrier. Does this imply that the 172 hub carrier wasnt strong enough. Can someone please explain what benefit this has.

Thanks.

Im not sure why they changed them. Its probably due to the wider track the 182 has so they made some new hubs.

It might have something to do wit the fact the Cup racers had problem with the old ones as far as I remember so them might be for them but I wouldnt have imagine they care that much.

Do the wheel hub carriers bend/break etc. I guess this screws the handling. How would you know if its knackered. ?

Youd be sure preasty quick. The racers had the problem I think as there massively lowered and there race cars with slicks etc and hammered all the time so are bound to wear faster.
