Strong Petrol smell, Oil coming out the exhaust & engine a little lumpy..

What could this be?

I don't think it major, Possible coil pack or leads?

Can be slightly tricky to start but does fire up ok. Just runs lumpy and what i think is unburnt fuel is coming out the exhaust.

Check,

Coil pack then HT Leads the check your Plugs dont need changing and they are sparking all right if its got a lot of black carbon build up it wont spark as well.

Burning oil isn't going to be an ignition fault or at least not just a ignition fault.

Compression/leakdown been checked?

The plug leads might be breaking down and causing it to misfire. The coil packs can break down after a while as well.I put Magnecor leads on mine a couple of years ago. I'd change the leads and plugs and see if that cures it.

sounds very similar to the problem i had!
mine turned out to be stem seals and valve guides shot so oil was sitting on 2 pistons which resulted in the injectors being blocked so the fuel was not getting ignighted! mine stank of fuel!
