Stupid question - Oil Temp & Pressure (Maybe one for Danny / Fred)

-J-

Car  RS2'ed 172 Cup
Just a quick (Stupid question)

What is the 'prefered' measurement of -

1) Oil Pressure - BAR or PSI and as a 'very general rule' what is a Healthy Pressure on the 1*2 engines?

2) Oil Temp - Celcius or farrenhight and what is and as a 'very general rule' what is a Healthy 'operating Temp?

general rule, 1-2 bar warm idle is healthy, 3-4 bar at 4k

oil wants to be similar to water really 90 degrees C is happy. over cooling your oil just means your not protecting the engine. Some modern oils are very good at staying stable to high temps. Silkolene is good to around 140degress C

I think it's weird how the 1*2's dont have oil temp or pressure gauges, given the valvers and williams did
