2003 Clio 172
The heat shield that bolts to the subframe keeps hitting either the steering rack of manifold causing a rattle at low revs. I've tried adjusting it several times but the end of it is simply too loose and won't fit firmly in between the rack and manifold.
I thought about shorten it slightly but am now thinking of throwing it in the bin.
I mean, it's job isn't really to protect the steering rack from the hot exhaust, is it? Can I safely bin it?
