Suggest Me Some UpRated Speakers! :)

Hello guys!

ICE isnt my strong subject when it comes to cars, so i would love some advice on a decent set of Up - rated speakers.
Im looking for:

- Clear Crisp Sound.
- Bassy but no "Chavs-Vestite™" bassy.

My current set up is: STANDARD lol
i just have a nice factory installed 6 cd changer.

Whats the best way to go?

well i dont know every thing bout ICE but through readin in this forum, thorugh the hundreds of threads which have been about ICE, i have found that upgrading the existing speakers in the car makes one of the biggest difference and generally gettin a decent headunit..... mayb as well if ya want bass but not too much get a small wattaged sub with an amp to run that,

Ive got a brand new set of 6.5" Maystar co-ax's that will fit in with a wee bit workYours for £15 plus p+p at cost if you want Budget speakers but better than most

i've found the headunits are turd and the first thing that should go.. im talking about 15 year old cars and haven't had the chance to compare a newer headunit to old...

i simple added a new head unit and you can instantly get the stereo louder before they distort.. aftermarker speakers are great but its better to find ones that fit before you get your heart set on any.. i wanted these alpine ones that had a good write up but when i put them in the door the eleccy windows hit them

im runing alpine type E coxails in bk matt there pretty gd not into me ice much these days did have sum type s componet for front never fitted thou

Get yourself a set of Focal components for the front - even the cheaper models are awesome :approve:

hu will still make them sound shite, you would be best getting a hu with a built in amp, then upgrad all the facotry speakers and then ur done ,

Replaced my front and rears with Sony Xplod XS-F1334 3 way 13cm speakers.

Very simple but effective upgrade, only £30 a pair.

Replaced the head unit with a Sony CDX-MP40, a few years old now but has the plus point of playing MP3's and with the optional adaptor box it works with the standard display and steering controls.
