Sump Gasket Torques/Tightening Sequence and Bolts

I am gonna have a go at changing my sump gasket some time soon.

Am I correct in thinking there Is a certain sequence for tightening the bolts ?
Rather than going round them one by one after each other.

Does anyone know what to torque the bolts up to ?

And am I correct in thinking that the bolts have male Torx heads that require a 'E' sized socket ?

And lastly any tips on how far I need to jack the car up and how far I have to drop the subframe to get the sump out ?
And how many bolts hold the subframe on ?

Sorry for sounding a newbie, but I've never dropped the subframe before so I'm unsure what's attached to it and how it's fixed in place.

No need to drop the subframe, yeah they bolts are strange little fellas. I had to get a 1/4" socket to get into the tightest spots.

Male torque heads... E7/E8 size iirc, be careful there easy to round off!

do the bolts up from the inside out, all sides working to the corners

Torque range 12 - 15Nm iirc :)

Anyone any ideas where the best place to get a gasket is ?

And does anyone know what size the bolts are ?
E ???

As i dont wanna go out and buy Female E Sockets and find there the wrong ones :(

I dropped the subframe a bit, I couldn't jack the engine high enough. Felt like I was going to break something.

It's E8 just checked. I had to buy a 1/4" one as my 3/8" was too big for some of the recessed bolts.

Cheers for size mate.

How far did you have to drop subframe ?

Did you have to remove any other bolts to give clearance ?

Or was the bolts that hold the subframe enough ?

Not sure how much the sump fell out while I was lowering it... 2-4 inches maybe.

I undid everything but I probably didn't need to, I was planning on doing the clutch while I was there but decided to delay that job in the end.

By everything I mean - lower gearbox mount, steering column pinch bolt, rack bolts, lower ball joints, track rod ends and an easily missed bolt that holds the lower rad pipe onto the subframe.
