sun visor bracket removal

does anyone know how to remove the sun visor bracket towards the centre of the car nearest the interior lighting console on a 172. ive removed the torx screw but its still sitting tight...

just pull it really hard while twisting a little and it will come out. it goes through the bodywork which is why it is a b**ch to move

thanks for that, will give it a go later. i gave them a bit of a tug but didnt want to snap em off!

they're pretty strong, basically a lump of plastic, you wont break it.

I heard from someone who works in Reno service that you need to keep the torx screw in half-way then jiggle it out.

Although he did agree that it's as tight as a ducks arse!

lol will keep that in mind! ive got lcd visor screens and need to change the bracket so that they sit level

screw the screw back in a small amount and push it while your doing that wiggle it out they are the worse design in the world have fun putting it back in.
