super unleaded..Help plz

i have a 1.6 rsi..have been running it on normal unleaded fuel,after alot of drivin about last w/e my tank is down to the 1/4 full mark for the first time since having the car. Would i see any benefits from using super unleaded and is now the right time to put some in ? cheers.....

Try it and see? Youll probably feel a difference.

Im assuming you have the 1.6 16v engine. We have the same in our Megane, and you can feel the difference.

I wouldnt bother, I run my 172 on 95 RON and it runs fine

my old 1995 rsi runs better on tesco petrol rather than bp petrol or bp ultimate, quite often its different 4 each different car, + how a person determines if its helping or not

yes its the 1.6 16v.it wont do any harm to put half a tank in and try it will it?

Nah, give it a try if you want, for full "benefits" need to put about 2 or 3 tankfuls in

We now use it in our 172, the missus reckons it is better than the 95 Ron we were using before.

You wont gain anything because the car is set up to at its best to run on 95RON. Shell Optimax would help keep your engine clean, which is why i use it on my 1.2 16v.

Im sure if you try it itll be a placebo effect - you always think its better, but most probably is so insignificantly better its not worth it!

Not worth it youll achually get less power due to its slower preflame .

It will help keep the engine cleaner though.
