Superglued CV joint...

Car  Valver
Hm ok so after being outside till 11pm changing the rubber bush on the anti-roll bar I discovered that Id some how made a small 5mm tear in the CV boot nearest the wheel only little bit of grease had come out so I wiped it off and dabbed superglue over it and a lil around it, seemed to do the trick... Any reasons I shouldn't have superglued it??

Yeah think I'll try that, just spent last weekend fitting a new driveshaft for the other side cause of the CV boot and other stuff then I f**k this one I was pretty steaming...

lol, i'm sure you can get stick on cv boots that dont require you to take stuff off iirc

yer u can buy a tool so u can streatch a new one over it , been told it wont work on a 172/182 , but in yer case it might

So long as the rubber can stretch just as much you should be fine. One popular easy option is to stick a bycycle repair patch over the area as this will work.
