surprised what new lambda can do

  182 ff
my 182 failed it mot (took it to council /taxi testing centre,dont rip u off)on emissions,i bought 2 lambda senors from euro parts(bosh)£120 ,i also noticed the mani/cat springs was looose so bought fitting kit with washer.
i found a great place cost me £64 for fitting all 3 parts and £25 for full emissions and ecu read out test. they also tighted all the other exhaust connections up. i fitted a sump cover (£1 scrap yard,)
the car feels a different car it flys u press the pedal down and ur pushed back in the seat,and the exhaust is alot quieter but sounds really good(AA MAN said sounded like a beast(i had new battery replaced one they fitted only lasted 2 months)
has anyone else found this after fittin new lambda? 7 months i go i did have new plugs oil and fitlers put in.
i just need to sort the suspension out might fit yellow sport konis and eibach pro springs new toyo r888 tyres and hopefully it will hanble abit better. any advice on the above would be appricated. am new to clios 182 seem to be learning abit>

Glad you liking it mate ! it should drive better now its fueling right ! nippy little cars !! have some fun in it !!

Brakes are the best place start IMO , some brembo HC discs and pads from G172 on here , then like you say some decent tyres , cooksport springs and youll have a seriosuly sorted clio ! i know everyone does these mods , but theres a reason !! because they work well !!

Just a thought;
If you have/had a dodgy lambda sensor and therefore the engine isn't fueling properly without a disco on the dash - would it use a little more oil than normal?

iwant to make it go faster round bends 1st before i think about stopping,brakes are easy you just buy the best get goodridge hoses ,maybe calipers, 4 pots ones are enough for road use, am not liking it just stuck with it,i took it for part exchange for a mini cooper s offered me £1500 p x, my car was much better than theirs and they wanted £4000 cash too for an 02 mini.so ill just make my clio the best it can be,
the engine is ok (touch wood),exhaust sounds great, just handling now then brakes,just pasted mot today fellow said it seemed ok,
i jsut wish i knew what i no now before i bought the car,saved me alot of messing,guess it just needed a owner to look after it.once i replace all the parts i think it needs least i no its done properly,i think ill go back to sports bikes its alot cheaper ha

dont think it would burn more oil not as u would notice it aint a 2 stroke engine(i was in my time a qualifiled motorcyle mechanic)mine was running rich so burning more fuel(i was getting 15 mpg around town) i got 25 today.if your car never had them changed and u done over 50,000 change them,i no they say they good for 160,000 miles up ,mine was on for 8 years so they must get less efficent,check all your exhaust connections if mani/cat springs loose replace them, mine flys now cant believe the difference like a new car
