Suspension issues after switching springs back to standard spec

  Clio 182
Hello,

I changed the springs on my 55 plate Clio 182 today from uprated ones back to standard spec as I found the ride too harsh.

I bought the standard springs used from eBay and they looked almost new.

I don't know what make the updated ones were but the handling was excellent and it felt like a gokart.

Now the standard springs are on the car is much better at absorbing bumps in the road which is what I wanted but it now feels very unstable when I take corners at speed. It kind of feels like there is lateral movement in the struts when I take bends at speed. It kind of wobbles and it makes me completely loose confidence in pushing the car round bends.

Somethings not right. The car felt great with the hard springs on and I'm sure the standard set up would handle better than this or it wouldn't have had such good reviews.

I put all the bolts etc back as I found them so not sure what is causing the problem. The dampers have always been standard spec and are in good condition.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance...
