suspension / whell offset help please

Car  Faded trophy
Right i have a 182 CUP and i have bought 172cup turinis I am going to lower the car in a few weeks but i have been told the offset is diferent so I cant lower it on turinis? Is this true as i thought the CUP suspention set ups were the same ? Sorry if this is a common question just i'm not very good with this type of thing ?:o

Re: suspention / whell offset help please

182 offset is et45, 172 cup turinis will have an offset of around et38 at a guess. This will mean your turinis will sit 7/8mm further out in the arches.
If you lower the car too far then the edge of the tyre could come into contact with the lip of the arch.

Re: suspention / whell offset help please

was thinking of getting eibach sportlines there about 40mm i think wil that be ok ?

Re: suspention / whell offset help please

Should be fine, Sportlines don't lower anywhere near that much on the RS Clio's.
