Synchronising Itunes with Macbook and PC

What i want to do is keep my itunes librarys identical between my Macbook and my PC mainly because i usually play music and everything on my PC, i keep my PC at my Uni house so when i go home i take my Macbook but i have no playlists which is annoying.

Is it possible to sync itunes library's?

Put it on an external HD. Then swap that between them.

Or if you don't have one of them, a million transfers on a 2gb usb memory stick

If i kept the directory layouts the same could i just copy the Itunes file across that contain all the config information?

Put iTunes config files in same folder as all the music then point iTunes to that directory.

There's a guide on the Apple site on how to load iTunes from a different library location.

Use home sharing with the PC and keep all the music on the mac.
