tar remover

which one do i get, have got quite a bit of tar on my paintwork and want to remove it before claying, what should i get

only thing i have looked at so far is this

Tardis. But it can be hard to get hold of from an Autosmart rep..I haven't found our rep in this area.

Don't dilute. If it's going in a spray bottle you will need a chemical resistant head.

You dont dilute it. Try and put it in a bottle with a chemical resistant sprayer though as it is quite strong.

(its not ESSENTIAL just be warned)

It's only taken me a email to the head office for my are rep contact info. Have you not got one near you at all?

Make sure you haggle with your rep. Some products can be much cheaper.

To be honest I just bought it from polished bliss when I got some other bits..probably cheaper from AS themselves but meh. convenience and all.

Tried to see which local garage your rep visit? Most garages would have an AS rep round once a week.

You can buy it from eBay, but technically you shouldn't as it is a dangerous chemical and should only be posted/transported in it's metal tins.

But Polished Bliss only sell it in 5l tins by memory. Depends how much you are likely to use!

Polished bliss.com are a reputable seller. The stuff on ebay ect.. could be watered down and not sent through Hazardous channels.

It's a technicality that you should be aware of. It is up to you. I'm sure some if not most detailers have bought smaller amounts of dangerous products without a thought to the packaging requirements.

I don't, however, believe it is illegal.

I finally got some today..from Polished bliss though as I wanted some alcantara cleaner from them..probably paid more then others do but meh..

Just wondering if tardis is that strong doesn't it affect the paint work or weaken the laquer?

No it does no damage. But you need to wash it off and either paint cleanse or polish afterwards.
