Had a thought about the abs light. If I figured out from a diagram which one it is that feeds the dash could I just cut it? Or cut it and hook it up to another cable like the battery warning light or something?

Found the issue
The fuel pump and OS light loom must be from one of our earlier 172s as the pins are in a different place hence the lack of anything!
Glad to have found it but annoyed as well because we must've thrown the right one away, can't find it anywhere, hopefully someone close by has one. I don't massively fancy swapping all the pins about but if I have to I will.

It's a driveshaft, steering column and driver seat away from being driveable. Oh and aero catches/cable ties....

Yup, it lives and drives! And its quick, or at least felt it in the very short test run. It obviously still needs a few bits and pieces and niggles sorted out but its fair to say we're over the moon!
