test drove 182 but staying with 172

  Black 182 + Recaros

I just test drove a blue 182 with CUP pack. The handling is much improved over my original 172. Everything else felt very familiar, as you would expect having already owned two 172s.

I was very tempted to buy it. But I had a few doubts. For a car that was only 5 months old (and done 9000 miles) it felt over used. The carpet mats looked 2 years old. I even suggested swapping them with my own mats.

He wanted 13,000, and offered 8,425 for my 2003 MK2 172. For a main dealer this seems ok.

I can buy a brand new 182 cheaper and know its never been used.

However, Ive decided to stick with my uprated 172. Driving my own motor back home was a pleasure, (as was the 182 test drive).

unless you get a really good deal it may not be worth the change up to a 182.Unless your mind is made up

I swapped from a 172 to a 182, one of the big reasons was I got the 182 on F & F for £10,300, £10,800 with both Cup packs.

At that price and mileage Id not swap either.

I have a feeling mine will have done around 9k miles by 5 months oud too. Its on 6.5k at 3.
