Thank you Sprayshack! 172 Rear Bumper

  Liquid Yellow 182 FF
Just thought id make a thread about this because Sprayshack sorted me out and corrected what can only be described as a f**king awful attempt at spraying.

Basically Ive got a non sport and I managed to get hold of a 172 rear bumper on here for a reasonable price. Thing is It needed to be sprayed as 'Rouge Cerise' is not a sport colour.

Got several quotes, ranging from the insane to the reasonable. I ended up going with a 'trusted' local bodyshop who have worked on my car before. Booked it in, and was told it would be about a week. Anyway, to cut a long story short they gave my bumper to an independant sprayer who ended up being the most useless f**kwit Ive ever met, and after 3 weeks I'd had enough and told them were to stick it and went to the workshop and collected my bumper looking like this:

Never seen anything so awful looking in my life, it was shocking!

Anyway, I sent all of this to Sprayshack, In minutes they replied with a quote and I was all set to post it up to them. Was collected the next day and two days later they emailed me this:

:D

A couple of days later the bumper was back with me and looking stunning! Couldnt wait to get it fitted so that evening with a torch in my mouth I got it fitted!

Anyway, just wanted to thank Simon at Sprayshack for the fantastic service and communication throughout. I would recommend them to anyone, and I shall be returning for a couple more bits. Good stuff, cheers guys!

Now some picture whoring.

So a bit of a craquelee... primer eating up the o.e.m. laquer.
Guessing a rattlecan bodge job, as to the gas in the can being very aggressive with the reducer; layered on to thick instead of misting, building up primer coats.

And some major drips of a intercoat on the lip?

Sand it back... 2K epoxy primer it... sand it... basecoat paint... basecoat color paint... 2K laquer it... job done.

It was worse, yellow spray filler under primer, which was under the red. The white primer you see, is from the second attempt they had made, it looked to me like basically they had rushed it, tried to do it quick, or maybe even used a form of accelerator in the clear which caused wrinkling.

No not at all, they look bright in the pics, but once the main lights are on they dont look over powering.
