I agree with you, he does seem really nice

Jay is a very knowledgeable guy and is a much appreciated ClioSport member. :D

God, make his head any bigger and it wont fit in his Clio cup!;)

Seriously though i think he needs an award for most helpful/knowledgable user with BenR up there aswell.

Springs feel good JAY. Feels more direct. Connected to the road better.

Must admit tho Ive smelt a whiff of warm rubber when coming to a stop at lights and the like????????

Could they be rubbin from time to time on the inner arches? Ive looked at the fronts and there is a piece which seems to stick out and inch or so which at a standstill is only a few cms away from the tyre????

What do you reckon?

my mate never had rubbing with the standard wheels. just have a look around the arches but nothing should be rubbing really.

Yes it was mine had the obligatory serv/airbag fault repaired and is coming back in on dare i say it "Friday the 13th" to have clutch & accelerator cable replaced + passenger grab handle for the third time!. I think the cables have melted from heat from the manifold, i dont know how that could have happened seeing as i never go over 4k revs ;)

Im not a happy bunny regards the exhaust though, The centre section has colapsed internally making a sh*ty noise all of the time and even though the car is 2 years old and only done 12k millage its not covered under warrenty. What do they use these days monkey metal?

As good a reason as any to get a stainless one, is yours still up for sale? Could you fit it while its in? :D

my exhaust wont fit yours as its for a phase 2 and the centre sections are different lengths. however i may be selling my magnex (which will fit) very soon so i will let you know if i do.

yes the magnex is full stainless cat back. the only way the stainless other one would fit is if ascar lengthened it or maybe fitting a phase 2 cat or decat pipe.

What about fitting the k-tec sports cat for a mk2 172 that way the length would be right surely as the manifolds are the same on both models?

  172 cup,s2 rs turbo

the magnex would be a straight fit although i dont know definatly when i would be selling it.

the ascar one is for a phase 2. the only difference between phase 1 and 2 is the length of the cat/front pipe. the phase 1 is slightly shorter so hence the centre section is a bit longer. that is the only difference i know off. you could use the phase 2 cats from k-tec etc so the exhaust would fit and i would have to get you a blanking bung from work for the second lamda sensor hole.
