that thing on the windscreen

hi,
whats the little square bit in the middle of the windscreen. like a small square sticker???

not sure if its just a V6 thing or what?

ive heard its on them for the annual pass holders for toll booths.... so it can scan as you drive through.. like in france....

you right. its for toll passes to be mounted on the window with out being blocked by the UV protective sun block on the window.

its a gap in the uv reflective crap, primarily for the frogs auto toll booths and therefore the obvious choice for your nav or speed camera detection.

the windscreen is solar reflective (doesnt allow gps signals etc in) the gap is there to allow gps signals thru. like a lot of people hav already said so far, its for toll booths in france.. and also for sat navs etc.

Does anyone know what that that little cut out in the windscreen is? at the bottom in the middle.......?

Renault windscreens have an "anti-UV coat" on them.
The gap is simply to aid sat nav aerials etc.

I hadn't heard of the "automatic French tolls" until now but that now sounds an equal explanation.
Clever French getting us all thinking about a small, square gap in our windscreen coat.:star:
