The ’52mm or 54mm’ Suspension Q

ive been talkin to a tech at Spax today, who actually knew why there are two different measurements between the bolts on the front dampers

originally, the 1.2 Clios were supposed to have the 52mm ones.........

and the 1.4 Clios were supposed to have the 54mm ones.........

however as we all know someone cocked up at some point and there are loads of cars out there with different suspension on em

jus thought id share that with you.....

Im not suprised the french f***e up - getting parts is a nightmare! Hmm, Bendix or Girling? etc etc etc...

Just seem to throw on whatever they have to hand at the time!

And its an expensive mistake if you dont measure the gap between the bolts properly first!!!

Just to note, when we looked at mine.. we thought it was 54mm.. 1.2, Mk1, Phase3.. Hehe.

i had that problem, but easily sorted just returned them to demon tweeks and they sent replacments, easy as pie
