  Black Clio Mk2.
Right i want an insurance on my own at the moment, No mum or dad on it.

no 6000, mile policy they piss me off cos il need way more.

The most i can find on my own is around £5,000 for the year!

If you can find me £3,500 or less for an insurance on my own policy i will send you £20 in the post for your time and effort, Im hopeless at trying to find a quote.

Name - Ryan Jordan
DOB - 22/09/1993
House Number - 84
Postcode - BL7 9YT

Right anything else just make up obviously resonable.

And try and get me a quote no higher than £3,800

Go on admiral website, add your mum and dad as named drivers.

Or ring up Adrian Flux, maybe you'll have to TPF&T

I think I may sign you up for a credit card. That will be able to pay for the stupid insurance bills.

Nice house/flat!

We're moving to Egerton after we get married - the missus is from Bolton but we live in Darwen at the moment :(

If you spend £3,500 to insure a Renault Clio then I will use the £20 to buy beans to throw at you.

That is an absolutely mental quote. I very much doubt you have that sort of cash to hand, so you'll be paying £400 a month (with the credit agreement) per month. That's rent on a flat.

Don't do it. You crazy crazy child.

i put my sister as a named driver, 21 years old, dropped 800 quid... paying 1200 on a 1.2 16v dynamique

F*** paying £3500 to insure a clio. I'll join revels I think, £20 can buy a lot of beans to throw at you.

Why the hell not add your parents to the policy? Even if you don't like them, they'll save you a bit of money, they don't even have to look at the car!

Policy holder is usually the main driver.

But balls to 3800 to insure a clio.

Buy a car worth 750-1000 and run around in that and build up some NCB.

Then you're mental! But hey, it's your money.

It will be your policy, but add your parents as named drivers. This will bring the price down, only means they are insured to drive your car but it's YOUR policy.

Also, stay away from comparison sites. I've always had excellent quotes from Elephant and Bell (Same company, but sometimes different quotes).

Wow. As said previously, its really not worth spending all that money on insurance. If I could go back in time, I would've kept my Clio 1.2 until now (aged 25) and then bought an 1*2.

I would've saved a bomb...

Start phoning round places. Don't always take what the computer says.

I phoned A-Plan for a new quote. Told me £750 was the best they could do. Phoned Flux. They asked what my best quote was so far. Told them £680. She went down to £630. Phoned A-Plan back and got her down to £600.

That's just two insurers. If you take a day at it. Give your Mum £10 for the phone bill and call as many as you can. All day. There's a massive list somewhere. Call the brokers. Call the specialists. You'll get it cheaper. It will still be thousands. But then that's because you're young.

Personally mate i'd hold off for a year or two and get a NCB under you, then perhaps try SKY insurance or the like on here. Personally i'd go no higher than circa 1200 a year !

WTF!!!! for starters everyone on here is a millionaire so cash monies won't work. Also put your folks on there, unless they've had 32 crashes and have an occupation as a TV presenter.

I have an apprentership yeah :)

I went on go compare, mum and dad didnt make a difference, still in the 5,000's maybe ringing is the answer.

And will somebody take down all his details - for Christ's sake, Ryan, are you that stupid? This is an internet forum. Will might be joking about setting up a credit card for you, but guarantee someone in some far remote place in the world is currently noting down your information thinking it's Christmas.

I'm surprised that it's taken 32 posts before someone's pointed that out to him...

Why are your posts centred and orange? £5k on insurance? You must be a high troller...

I meant high roller.

I know its not what you want to do but if it was my cash if you desperately had to do it I'd buy a rep, run it for two years THEN get a sport - you'll have saved so much money in those few years you could probably skip the 1*2 completely and end up with a 197!
