little update
came to start the car yesterday morning and it wouldnt start, and then the battery flattened.
Got a set of jump leads off a mate of mine and spent 20 mins in the evening trying to get it started.
No luck.
Though i had spotted a problem with the alternator, but there wasnt one.
Got the RAC out as i have homestart. Very useful when owning a renault.
Guy turned up, told him the symptoms, put a battery booster on, had a fiddle round near the box and starter, and asked me to start it, and it fired into life off the key. Turns out the crank sensor had got gunked up, and wiggling it around cleans up the prongs.
Stood about chatting to him for around an hour as he was a big bike fan, so we had a good chinwag about wrapping, the TT and bikes.
Was ready to burn this car to the ground when it looked like this.
Forthcoming plans are to sort out a few more of the niggly problems
Polish the carbon fibre induction, its hazy as fook.
Get all the screws and clips that will hold all the scuttle trays and loose cables in the engine bay as they should be
Remove the front bumper and clip it all back properly
Remove the nearside headlight and figure out why it points up.
Remove the seats, and respace them like they should be so i can actually remove the screwdriver from the runner
Get a parcel shelf that doesnt have holes in it
Remove the Amp cableing ? RC leads / inline fuses from the bay and interior and sell them
Reroute the Iphone cable so it comes out of the airvent by my holder
Fix the inboard driveshaft gaitor (ie replace the shaft)
Repaint the engine cover and put that back on, repaint the fuse cover also, and the induction housing
Cover the dashtop, fill the holes in the a pillars, and cover them, along with the roof lining and b/c pillars in alcantara to match the seats
Fix the boot lock that doesnt lock
Save up for some proper suspension that doesnt crash around and give a s**t bouncy ride.
Later in the year - full respray in BMW M3 Estoril Blue, this will include de-denting it all, removing the locks and washer jets, and if i can get enough coins together - some white OZ Ultraleggeras in 16"
