The 320D.

Zim Zimmer, who got the keyz to my badmanz bimmer.

Introducing the Bradford spec 320d. It was bought with a suspected timing chain rattle when I sold the MCS a while ago. I knew it was the crank shaft pulley which is a common problem and rattle away. Changed that, serviced it and job jobbed.

It's just passed an MOT with no advisories and until the house sale has gone through it looks like it's staying a little while longer. :pensive: Whilst it's embarrassing, it's cheap to run and one of the very last to escape a DPF.

When I got it, it had tints on the front as dark as the rear. Wind deflectors. M Sport number plate surrounds with M Sport number plates. (just in case you didn't know it's an M sport 😂)

I need to remove the rear tints but still scarred from doing the front two and removing glue for what felt weeks. I also really want to get the wheels refurbed silver but I'm having trouble convincing myself to spend money on it.

Selling it is going to be fun. Although it's not far for them to travel from Birmingham I guess.

The wheels look decent nick, might be easier to buy some new silver ones (even if they're slightly tatty) and sell the black ones .

I have been looking but it seems most are either cracked and welded or silly money. There's a "the wheel specialist" near work but they wanted the best part of £350.00 to refurb. Mental. That's a 1/4 of the cars value..lol

@TomSx Having read your description, in build up to the pictures - I was expecting worse!

It's not that bad - I'm sure you'll have a que of Bristolian's wanting to take it off your hands :smile:

Hmmm. Minus the tints and black wheels it'd be acceptable. Mind you, I don't think the E90 has aged well.

What's with the red hubs & calipers ? They'd look soo much nicer painted black or silver mate.
The previous owner getting happy with a paint can..haha! I'll paint them black if it's on my care long enough.

Silver wheels, OEM grilles on the front and jobs a good 'un.

I really like this shape 3 series.

I assume the £1400 value was a joke? That seems f**king cheap for one of these. Thought they'd be circa £5k.

What a difference wheel colour makes...

Bargain of the weekend. Very clean OEM MV3's for a 1er..:) Makes it a little less embarrassing now.

Are the tints as dark as they appear in pics ?

Not as dark but they are dark. I would remove them but after doing the fronts I can't face it. Its a right PITA.

f**k me thats cheap for MV3s. Staggered width too?

Yes mate OEM staggered. It was some older guy through Facebook classifieds. He'd had them in his garage for years. Had them advertised for £125 and accepted a 1er..haha! They're almost immaculate too. I'll now sell the bad man black ones.

Mine is on 244k, and its the original turbo, so it's done good. £200 for a recon with 2 year warranty.

Jeez..that's a good mileage from it to be fair..lol! Nice to know these handle the miles well.

Did you ever do your exhaust in the end? I keep saying I wont spend money on this but I HATE the exhaust tip.

Nah, couldnt be bothered spending any more money on it. As soon as the turbo is done it's going up for sale as I want a 3.2 V6 TT

Sadly it’s still here whilst my house bleeds me dry. New £5 mod though. Precut stickers the go on the rear lights to give the facelift look of all red. Looks much better IMO.
