The ClioSport effect?

  BMW E92/Audi S3
I'm missing my RS to bits. I have a big-ish car with boost now, which is exactly what I've always wanted but I'm considering coming back into the RS Scene.. Being turboless and having a 1*2 again.
Has anyone else found that these are rediculously addictive cars?????

I'll let you know when I actually get a CS :(
Although I can't wait to get a sport after my 1.2 if that helps?

  172
Your right dude they are addictive as hell! I took mine for a spin today for the first time since last sunday... The country road grin factor is epic...

Certainly something about them, they always seem to come up with the goods when you need em to.

Only owned one RS but cant see myself buying anything else in the future

Never owned another car apart from clios, had 4 - will no doubt have more in the future!

  ZX6R B1H
Sold the clio 172 Phs1 stripped out beasty and yeah i missed it at first and hated the scooby wrx, But when i got the clio 172 i hated that and loved my williams. On a flip i also hated the williams when i first bought it and always felt the xsara VTS track car i built was sooo much better.

I just pootle around in the scooby now its awesome, i can even hold a convo with the mrs and dont have that stupidly loud de-catted yozza system shouting at everybody. Ahhhhh the joys of a standard car, but yes i Do miss throwing the clio into roundabouts at silly silly speeds and laughing at much bigger powerful cars as the clio was just abused and thrashed and driven like a true trooper.

did you go to renault world series yesterday mate?, if so i think i saw your car, blue gsiturbo parked on the gravel?, looked stunning if it was yours. See what you mean though, iv'e got a lupo gti now and want a 172/182 badly

  Titanium 182
Dude as if you're getting another maybe already lol!
You better make some money on that barge of yours or you will go bust at this rate !!

His is a silver one mate.

Im sure he said it was quite a bit quicker, not too good at handling though compared to the clio. Its a lush car either way!

  BMW E92/Audi S3
The GSi is lovely on the speed. ALOT quicker than the 172, but thats on boost. Seems to me like its the handling factor that appeals to everyone on here. I've only ever driven standard RS's, I bet they are beastly with a few performance mods.

I will text you so you can come with me :p

Thats gorgeous! Why did you let her go??

  Not got a car
I went from a 172 to a astra coupe turbo, missed the clio so went for a 182. Do miss the sound of the turbo tho

  impreza sti prodrive
i went from:

escort rs turbo
clio 182ff
fiesta rs turbo
looking for a 172cup now.

they are realy addictive, the fact for me is the handling & also can thrash them all day long & then drive them home without any problems like what i had with my rs turbo's.

I went from a 172 to a Golf turbo, an Evo, A scooby, an M3..... I ALWAYS end up back with a clio.

I've had 12 now. :D

if im honest i miss mine sometimes but stuck with reno so still got the lovely noise from the inside when driving ;)

  330i, Alfa 147 & SP1
Just picked my 172 up today and made up with it. Can see why they seem to have a buzz surrounding them.

I love our alfa but the Clio is something else.

  tiTTy & SV650
Spent ages looking into what car to get to replace my gti which had replaced my 182 (due to a mortgage!) and after considering lots of more sensible but still sporty options I ended up with a 172.

They are a very good all round package, I got 40mpg today and hit #2#mph at one point lol

  ibiza cupra
i hate it when its off the road and i end up driving the missis ka but love getting it back so i would hate to get rid knowing that that was it.

Thats gorgeous! Why did you let her go??

When me and the ex split up it went with him.

it was 5 yrs old and hadnt cost me a penny bar servicing

needed aux and cam belt
leak in head gasket
leak in sump
needed a service
suspension was just starting to feel a bit tired
and it was getting to the killer 60,000/5 yrs when things started needing replacing
it was also worth what was owned on finance

he wanted to keep it, so thought id let it go and save up and pay cash for a better, newer RS

also another factor was im now only 3 miles to work in traffic.

but when its a nice day and the boys at his dads, i miss just taking it out for a blast, the 306 shed just doesnt give me the same buzz unless im driving on the end of its limit!

Haven't had the Vee out the garage for almost a month now.... Might dust her off this week after reading this.

  Clio MK 4
I've always had in my mind i'd get something different after my 172 but now after owning it for 2 and a bit years i'm thinking another RS clio is on the cards. I just dread seeing my mileage going up as its time is running out!

  Clio 172 Exclusive
I've had 3 Clio's in a row, soon to be 4th when I get myself my first 172 :) So yes, certainly addictive!

  200 FF Storm Grey
I lvoe mine, im suprised at how many people appreciate them aswell, washing it yesterday and everybody who walked past made a comment on what a lovely car it was, my neighbour who's a girl my age and has no idea about cars couldnt get over how gorgus it was, I don't see it as a properly nice looking car YET but suppose others do

  Meg R26 + Mk4 GTTDI
I've had two Clios so far. When I change my car in a few years I might head away from Clios for a warm-ish hatch then once I can afford it go for a 197/200

i find this strange too, i found other iceberg 172s nicer looking when i passed them than mine and i could never work out what it was that seemed nicer, even though mine was mint every one looked cleaner and in better nic but then i saw my mate drive mine past me and realised what a cool looking car it is lol!
