The Deja Vu Detail - Racing Blue 182 - this time Swissvax'd!

I spent last Saturday working on a Racing Blue 182, then Sunday I had a... Racing Blue 182!! The paint on these little beasts is ROCK HARD, so I had another battle on my hands all over again...

Wheels were up first, and being white, were in a bit of a state...

On the rear wheels I decided to test Concours Car Care's Dissolver which aims to address tar, brake dust and also degreases:

and rinsed... no agitation at all...

The rear of the wheels was done with Smart Wheels and EZ brush - very impressive for a touchless wash indeed and about 90% of the fallout was addressed which was almost on a par with a single hit of IronX!

Then rinsed.


I washed with Zaino Z7 and the Zaino Bucket System:

After rinsing, I followed up with IronX on the paint:

There was no tar present and the paint was already very smooth - the owner is a keen detailer so it was good to work on this car!

There seemed to be very little light swirling but lots of deeper stuff.


After playing with a few combos I settled on S3 via Wool/MF in parts, then refined with 203S on a 3M Polishing Pad:
