The Ford Appreciation Thread

Lols! You sound like my Dad!

I do <3 knowledge like that!

Mike from MWM's brother is just in the process of buying FRP widetrack for his fiesta which is going to be on bodies and a set of MWM's very hot cams for the 1600 ford lump, that should be quite a cool car when its done.
Its already on coilovers and 4 pots with a diff.

Were those the wheels that came on the Orion Eclipses?

No, although they were also 14" 6J they had a bead around the rim and were ET36.5. They weren't available diamond cut.

These are Mk3 Fiesta option alloys which had no bead and were diamond cut, ET32.

I know far to many little facts like that about 80's and 90s Fords...its sad

It gets better and better looking everytime I look at it. Love those wheels.

That Cosworth is stunning Kev! That just an Internet find or you know the car?

It's that Blue, it sets off the look on so many fords doesn't it

Seen that cossie at KH Kev, There were 2 like that and a red one that were stunning!

Sounds different in gear i'll admit. Sounds a little weak as I said at the time of the video, no depth. On the overrun though is where the fun is. A 1*2 sounds like a washing machine in comparison though lets be honest.

My Capri obsession continues.

I know it was meant to be the UKs version of the Mustang but I never bought into that,
however this one looks the closest to it i've seen, well at least from the back.

That's seriously f**king cool. All the more scary that D reg cars don't seem that old to me until you see the pics of cars from that era.

That's amazing ^^^

Oh and the anti-christ for you Ford purists;

Don't particularly like myself but it is different...

Boxhill OSF meets are brilliant. I'd rather the yellow Mk2 personally but with the Blue ones engine.

I think I'd donate/sell a kidney to have that red Escort Cosworth :approve:

This makes me cry though :dead:

Graveyard

That Escort is actually parked on a display stand in Peoples garage Edinburgh.

It was an RSOC meet they had. Original price etc in the window. Had a mk1 and Fiesta. Last summer iirc.

The main thing that ruins that is that it looks like a 12 year old is driving it.
