The Impreza picture and discussion thread

I really need to park mine up and not use it everyday, try and make it feel special again if you know what I mean, I spend most of time driving around the local town with my job and spend alot of my day sat in it, so the novelty of it quickly wears off.

Understand completely mate. It annoys me sometimes, hard ride, crap on fuel etc, but when in the mood it's awesome

True, I give it a blast one morning this week, cold dry morning and f**k me it was flying! I remember just laughing to myself about the power it has mid range.

Went to reading last night, didn't drive like a complete bell end, but I did explore the power shall we say.

150 miles absolute tops, £60... FLOL! You can actually see the fuel gauge going down when you're on the motorway.

£60 of vpower at £1.38.9, doing 150 miles, anyone work that out?!

Jesus that's bad. I remember getting fed up throwing money on vpower in my last one and yet I still want another

I'd have may considered it if it had good power. Sadly its a 225..lol!

What's a non turbo like to own? A 1998 to be precise.
It would be a daily doing 60 miles a day, mostly motorway.

Obviously it's not going to be as quick as a turbo but how different is it? I've got a 172 cup at the moment and was wondering how it would compare?

My mate had one. A 1.4 clio would be quicker and more fun. Plus theyre just as bad on fuel as the turbo's..

Yeah I wouldn't bother with an NA one, especially with the prices you can get a UK turbo for.

I don't know much about Scoobys but would really love a P1 at some point in my life. Are they reliable? Or money pits?

engines prone to letting go, most have had rebuilds, best to get one thats been rebuilt by a reputable specialist with some nice upgrades. other than that nothing to worry about. lol.

Imagine a stripper who kept her kit on, probably like that. Disappointing.

Proper feeling an impreza at the minute, think come renewal I may shop about. DTM cars (a trader on here) have a rather nice blobeye PPP wagon up atm!

According to the internet.
15.68 MPG
40p per mile.

HAHAHA!! Yeah, maybe I was driving like a bell end.

I'm going to get it serviced, 4 new tyres, 4 wheel alignment and then punt it on I think. I'm going to end up with points or even worse a ban. The temptation is too much! :D

I'm glad I did it though, it's a bloody brilliant car.

TBF mate, I managed to get nearly 300 miles on a full tank (mainly motorway miles) in it so IMO it's not that bad. Sure you haven't broken it??
What splitter you got then?

It didn't feel broke when I was trying to get it off the speedo last night....

A replacement (I think!) of the one that's on there. I was going to get it repaired but it's mullered! lol

Nice, not a mad spec. I was going to ask if you had any plans but your selling up?

I can't make up my mind what to do with it, knocked back a offer of £4.3k last Friday, got tempted by a local blobeye WRX running 360bhp, but still undecided what to do.
