I'm looking into new SIM deals... currently paying £13.50 for 20Gb but I only seem to use around 3-4Gb per month.

Looking at 1p Mobile or Smarty which are like a fiver for 5Gb, incredible really. Any experience of these super cheap deals? Both get good reviews on SIM Sherpa.

I think everyone always thinks they will need more data than they actually do tbh.

I've had all four of us on Smarty for a few years now, no issues other than the slightly patchy coverage...a minor irritation.

The 10% discount is because I have us all within a family group.

Got my SIM from Lebara and signed in on the app etc. It's asking me what day I want to port my number over, it's given me Tuesday being the first available day, why would it not be today etc?.

Possibly my EE contract renews at that date?

After a quick look that seems to be the norm, not done it ever so thought it was strange, expected it to be instant lol. So the latest day is Tuesday but likely to be well before.

Noticed the signal went from 0/1 Bar with the EE sim to 4/5 with Lebara, which is decent.

Love what nothing are doing. They deserve masses of credit in the toughest market for newcomers!



Give me a 6.3 inch genuine flagship and I'm on it. 6.3 120hz oled. Anti reflective screen. 1tb storage. Decent cameras. Take my money.

Everyone says EE is the best, I had the max plan with all the sports for years yet couldn’t make calls without standing near a certain window or outside.

F’d em off for Lebara, signals way better no drop outs & oh when you go abroad they don’t bum you for a ‘data pack for £20+’ to use phone abroad.

Lebara in Spain just worked, worked better than in the UK, 5G seems norm & no extra costs.

Sim only plans have 5G enabled.

I've just done the same... EE signal was poor, but Lebara is way worse 😬 however, at least it's cheap, so I'll stick with it for the time being.

I've got a Samsung A23 5G, that my work have been letting me use. But I've got to give it back.

I need an equivalent Android phone. 2nd hand is fine. Any recommendations? or is anyone selling one!

I'm on ID/3 and the tower is about 100m from my house and it still can be s**t 🤣 get no signal on the other side of town (it's a small town).

I'm trying to sign in to a website (not dodgy lol) and its saying i need two step verification and a code will be emailed, i never receive it.

I'm with yahoo and the forum I use regularly, is something blocking the email?

Anyone shed any light on this.

I'm with lebara and it's been fine, I tried using the Internet when I was out and about today and it said no mobile data, I contacted lebara and they said my account is fine. I'm normally always on wifi tbf so no idea how long this issue has been there....



I can receive emails and can send Whatsapp messages but time out when trying to load YouTube etc.

Something weird going on with Lebara. Opposite to you really, when I drive home there's a dead spot of a few roads where my network always cuts out (i.e. lose CarPlay radio) but the last few days it's actually been working! Shift in the matrix?

After looking into a bit more I put my SIM into my old phone and it worked fine. I looked at the network and it's Vodafone UK. I put the SIM back into my new phone and it's Lebara UK.

I've spoken to Lebara and it's not an uncommon issue Which they say will be sorted by Tuesday.

Has anyone tried the Nubia Z70 ultra, I'm unsure on that one as I like the clean face/under display selfie camera , or the OnePlus 13 as I love there OS , thing is a hate the massive island they all have on the back for the cameras, I currently have a Xiaomi 14 ultra. Don't get me wrong, good phone but not my favourite operating system and has a fair amount of. Blotwear , pop up ads from pre installated apps which can't be removed.

I had the OnePlus 12 and although it was only for a short time I really enjoyed it more than the Xiaomi just wish I didn't sell it for this but I cba swapping about again so thought I'd just wait till next gens came out

The 13 is meant to be impressive. That new find x8 ultra is off the scale though.



The tech chap has stills on his Instagram and the photos it's producing at all levels is actually a step up which is rare just now in the smartphone world. I'm down sizing phone wise. My wishlist:

6.3" non reflective oled/amoled display
1tb storage
Ram blah blah
Best chip
Wireless charging
Flagship cameras
Decent battery
Oh and ideally nothing make it because I love what they are doing!

Essentially an android version of the iPhone pro non max. I can't own an iPhone as much as they are very good at what they do!
