£29 now, £29 a month. 100gb data unlimited everything else on ID

My honor 90 keeps f**king about all the time lately, closing apps off, slowing down and randomly restarting.
Deleted loads of stuff, scanned it all etc and still doing it so having a change.
Get a Chromebook Go with this deal aswell which I don't know if I'll use but I'll definetly claim it anyway

I got an S25 edge from ID last week. Coming from an S21, seems much faster with a better camera. My s21 was just over 3 years old though!

No it's the Ai version, it's basically just reduced the noise.

Impressed. I don't know anyone with an edge. Haven't felt one in the hand yet. Battery life is meant to be good for a thin phone!

The new regular 17 seems to be the best of the bunch with the most improvements.

The pro and pro max look shite in the bright orange and they have reverted back to an all ally construction ditching the “titanium”.

I’ve just had the battery swapped out on my 13 pro.
Hopefully keep it another 4 years or until phones get some new features this one can’t do.

I kinda feel the same tbf. I get giddy at release but it usually fades quickly and I’ll say maybe next year. My battery is at 85%. It lasts nearly all day but not on heavy use.

Instant random error code on the old app. f**king useless. I'm not pissing around with it today at the risk of getting locked out so I'll sort next week once the staff have been paid.

I think they go up to 1TB storage but I just went for 256GB as I have everything on the cloud nowadays.

Had the same issue migrating barclays app.

Turns out when trying to re-register with my card that had 3 years left before expirtation...They had "issued a new card" which I'd never gotten.

I’d probably still be using my XS Max now had some ****** not stolen it.

There’s nothing really they can do with phones now to improve them, feels like the new features have massive plateaued and they’re just making stuff up now. Bar some minuscule speed / battery / camera improvement, phones have been pretty similar for years now.

Folding was the next big step. Surprised Apple haven’t jumped on the bandwagon yet.

I still don’t get it personally. The only thing I’d really enjoy extra screen size for is movies/shows. And because of the shape of foldables you just end up with massive borders like an old crt tv.

Great for viewing photos, web browsing and running to apps side by side. When you have fat fingers a bigger screen is amazing

Why would they care? Genuine question. They have enormous market share, and I’d imagine the average unit price is high.

Let everyone else make the early mistakes, waltz in once the market is mature and charge more for perceived higher quality. Seems a fairly smart way of doing things.

A bit like in the coffee thread, there are people that use phones, and there are people for whom phones are a hobby.

That latter group turn out every year, to compare this year's phone to last year's, and pore over benchmarks in endless detail. Nowadays they're always disappointed because 12mths just isn't that much time any more in progress terms.

Arguably the non-hobbiests are the bigger group and they aren't upgrading every year anyway, so it does actually feel like progress.

I'm in the second camp and jumped from a Pixel 6 Pro to a P10 Pro XL and it felt like a huge jump to me. But now I won't upgrade for three years at least, so I don't really care if the 11 is only marginally better.
