Again, I don’t really see your point? Are they struggling to sell phones?

There isn’t that much progress to be made in a mature market. I’m not sure Samsung or Google are offering anything massively different year on year?

And the accessories market is probably even more skewed to apples benefit, I doubt anyone else gets close to their sales for buds and watches.

We’re literally at the point where a 4/5 year old phone will be more than what 99% of people need.

For me, the only limiting factor is the battery.
If they could legislate that they must be easily serviceable, that would be grand.

Pretty much unless something vastly changes I’ll probably keep my current iPhone 6-8 years.

Yeah it's frustrating that the batteries used to always be replaceable easily until smart phones and the technology changed.

Would be better if you could pop the back off and slide out the battery to replace easily

Catch 22. I imagine that would add thickness/packaging issues which consumers also don’t want.

The 17 Pro & Pro Max camera lump looks fcuking awful IMO. 😐

Phone tech is evolution not revolution these days, this applies to both Apple and Android, the first few years of smartphones were amazing, every year a new model released with loads of upgrades & features, but for the last few years it is mostly incremental changes with the occasional decent upgrade thrown in.
