The new tool thread

No this isn't a thread about @Yorkshire Pudding

I liked the idea of a thread where you can dump your most recent tool purchase and description , with a picture and a link to where you got it to help others.

If you're like me you have a new tool/something to help out in the garage almost weekly.

First one for me which I got last week after reviewing some punches was this set:

The quality is excellent for the price, I'm really happy with the purchase. All my other punches were tapered so this is spot on for stubborn bolts in suspension arms etc



Second one to get the ball rolling were some nice strong gloves as I am sick to death of ripping nitrile gloves.
These are so far fantastic, very thin for a tactile feel but not easily rippable

I am a medium in gloves so got the small for a tight feel and they are perfect. @Louis got some on my recommendation and likes them too.

Those punches look similar to the ones I got earlier this year for £8.

The reason why I chose the ones I linked was based on many reviews that said they spent all day with others and the ends began to mushroom over but found the s and r ones to not do so.

Yeah similar to what I thought with mine. I've had decent results with Bergen taps, so thought I'd go with these.

They've had a fair old hit with a 3lb lump hammer and seem to be holding up.

Thanks for the demonstration that you can bend your fingers while wearing them, I was worried then that you wouldn't be able to move your hand properly when you had them on.

Yeah they feel great! Going to use them tonight got some general garage work. Wonder if theyll go in the washing machine? Probably split them before then tbh.

My punches were the cheapest set from screwfix, are great!

Bought some MAC RBRT Hex sockets the other day, don’t have a dealer here but managed to track one down who kindly mail ordered them. Worth a look if you’re in the trade. Saves much grief as Hex bolts can be a pain when people have partially rounded or the stubborn drop link hex when you’ve got to just change a shock and keep the link.



Also, anyone that loves the classic little Sanp on flat blade orange handle screwdriver will love the Mac mini pry bars. We all use those little screwdrivers for prising stuff we shouldn’t but MAC do a two piece mini pry bar set (straight and curved) that are the same size as the small snap on drivers, pretty cool. They’re made out of hardened blackened steel so strong to pry with.

I think you need to take a step back and look at the majority of your posts which are 95% trolling others (I don't take offense at all) but it made me laugh that when someone gives a bit back to you you take the hump and stoop to very strange levels.
