I think its more the want, i love yours mate but im sure if i was to own one again i wouldn't be happy.

Although for a car that you can jump in and thrash the nuts off of it the Clio is perfect. I think that's why i want to own one again.

2000 Renault Sport Clio 172 Ph1

112,000
Full service History
MOT until Nov 2017

I took this as a Part Exchange as was tempted to keep it but paintwork isn't as good as I would like.

The car has the following that are brand new;

K-Tec Stealth with decat (cat included)
Cup shock absorbers front and rear
Cooksport springs
Eibach Camber bolts
Spacers front and rear
Nangkang NS2-R all around.

Car was being prepared for a track car and the spec is almost perfect as a good starting base.

It has also been fitted with a Ph2 boot lid and rear bumper. It was also recently taken by a cent man to do the little dents in the side from car parking.

Interior is in good condition, seats have been well looked after, steering wheel does have marks a most do at this age now

Bad points;

Speedo not working (spare clocks with sale)
Passenger window regulator
Handbrake cable snapped
Engine light on due to no cat

Car is great mechanically, I drove it back from where I dropped a car and engine pulls well, handles brilliantly and no crunches in any gear. Could be an excellent base for a track car as is the sought after Ph1 and also rare in black.

It's yours @DannyR ??! Have seen it on eBay. If it were a little closer I would be tempted. What is wrong with the paint work for it to be not up to your standard?
And not the only black one on eBay with a Ph2 rear bumper! Well there were two the other week.

Yea, it sat for a while in the sun with bird crap so there are a few funny spots in the lacquer. The roof needs a real good polish too, I polished up. A lot and made a massive difference.

I've not seen a black Ph1 for sale in a while, last two went for over £3k!

I didn't realise that the 16s were/could be OE from Renault - Were they an option for the RS Clio - or from a different Renault in the range? I always thought that when people fitted the 16"s they were aftermarket (although obviously all manufactured by OZ)

Yes they where a option for the PH1s mate.

Is everybody selling Odessey blue Ph1's now??!! That's at least four I have seen for sale in the past few weeks! I even went to look at one, but needed too much work for my current situation - aka mother didn't want another broken car sat on the drive for weeks while the engine was replaced. Otherwise I would of had it.
