Elysium is huuuge! Also delivered were mobo, radiators, fittings, coolant, pump gpu block and CPU.
Scan have upgraded me to a Saturday delivery which means Il have 7990 and PSU theJust waiting for hoses and fittings from watercooling UK, and sleeving from mdpc and I can crack on.

I did forget to order a CPU block so got that coming tomorrow too (too excited yesterday it seems!)

Does the job, but will be upgraded CPU / MB / GPU wise next year hopefully. Although it did recently have two new 6GB/s 240GB Samsung Pro SSDs.

I've got a newer CPU block from EK that I won but it doesn't match the rest of my build so I haven't used it yet.

Not gonna lie I almost thought about doing that myself.

Did anyone see my post about the AMD games coupon??

I seem to have 2 in my graphics card box and will use 1 of them so the other is spare

Gareth how are you running 10 fans of 2 4 way fan controllers?? Or are you only using x amount of them on fan controllers??

All of the radiator fans are on the controllers (top controller for the CPU/MB/RAM rad, bottom controller for the GPUs rad, means if I'm playing games I can whack up the GPUs rad and play away without the temps increasing and works very well) all other fans are off the MB connections.

I can't remember exactly (I'm away at the moment) but IIRC the GPUs don't go over 40c maxed out, previous build would see a water temp of 50c doing the same thing.

just found out blockbuster gone into administration again so gonna get my money off account tomorrow which was for the xbox one and spend it on my pc instead . which is about 400quid so what upgrades would you do im personally looking at a new case motherboard cooling and maybe a decent mouse and keyboard but wondering if my budget is big enough

currently
amd fx8350
his hd7950
corsair gs800 psu
16gb vengence ram
32" toshiba hd tv
Tritton AX-180 headset
asda smart price mouse and keyboard
xbox360 controller

mobo

case i would like to be good at hiding wires so one with a nice false wall also good for fitting corsair h80/100 and plenty of fans

cooling im looking at water cooling for corsair h80/100 not massively but enough to keep it cool

as for extras i have no idea i use my headphones and tv for sound but i dont know mouse and keyboard wise whats good this is where i would like help along with all other aspects talked about

You can get refurbed H100's from ocuk, scan do them aswell iirc, for around £45.

I'm using the Fractal Design Arc Midi R2. Great case for the price and can hold 6x 140mm/120mm fans. Its got good cable management, can hold a 360 and 240mm radiator straight out of the box, easily removed dust filters and looks great too.

Not to clued up on amd stuff, but i dont think you can go wrong with the sabretooth.

I know I'm a tad late but going back to the 7970 with eyefinity thing, it runs older games on 3 screens fine, dirt 2/3 etc.... never below 70fps for me. Newer games struggle like hell, farcry 3 on ultra returns about 15 fps and crysis 3 won't go above 4 fps.

Shame as I would love to see crysis maxed out on 3 screens.

I take it 1 screen is so last Tuesday?

For me, sadly so. I feel that going back to one screen would be like going back to a GT 260. :(
It's not just the gaming, it's the fact that I can do so much at once, film or Program on the left, browser center and itunes/utorrent/folders on the right.

And yes, I did detect the sarcasm. ;)

I have an NVSurround setup, some games I will play in a single screen and have the details cranked. Others, I prefer medium with a wider field of view. BF4 being one that I prefer to run at Medium for example. Having that extra visibility at the side can give you a massive advantage.

That wasn't the reason for me going eyefinity, I was after the immense view you get on games like farcry, crysis etc.. But I soon found out about the massive advantage in multiplayer gaming. I don't play many games online, I've just got black ops 2 after a year or so of getting rid of the xbox and I feel like I'm back at square one! That and I've only been gaming properly with keyboard and mouse for about 4-5 months once or twice a week. Slowly but surely getting there.

I game on 1 screen, but use 3 altogether. Eyefinity (imo) is "meh" to play on.

I suppose it all depends on the type of game you're playing. If you're playing a racing game then 3 screens with cockpit view is brilliant. To more hardcore gamers the larger viewing angle is a huge advantage.
