Addicted, I take it that's Crossfire? I've never seen how it's plugged in, so messy and untidy compared to SLI.

I've not actually bought it yet TBF lol.

If you look it's using connector cables to the mobo.

Also if you've got a crossfire enabled mobo you don't need Bridge connectors iirc.

Correct, you don't need the bridge, although on the higher end cards they make up for latency lost through the bus so you should use them really.

I haven't swapped over my MB for a while as It's the only one that has kept working for over 6 months! all my previous ones have had 2+ PCI-E slots,
So when I swap over my MB for a upgrade (want 2 gpu's again) so do I have to re-install everything again or If I stick with ASUS MB's does it just pick everything up from previous?
Been out of the computer building scene for over a year now so alot has changed lol

I do a reformat and reinstall when changing a mere sound card or gfx card. Without question, I'd be doing that with a new motherboard - even if it was the same board, with a new revision!

Oh wow! never seen that done before.

They're not in crossfire, they're connected to mobo using ribbon cables (basically extender cables).

They're used for mining (not bitcoin but other coins), and perform better not in crossfire mode

Thats what i've been looking at, Could sell my 6950 for £100+ and look for a bargain 7950. Just always wanted to know how the 6950's ran in Crossfire compared to a 7950.

Waiting on a riser, but each card pulls 660Kh/s (mining litecoin, so it's Kh not Mh), so 2,600Kh/s, but also have my main 7970 running so just under 3.3Mh/s

Funny thing is, started mining a new currency with a 7970 and 7950 a week back for 3 days, already paid for the rig...

i used to ***** the s**t out of my xbox, but ill be lucky to get a few solid hours on the PC without my little one wanting me lol. Got to say though the graphics quality between console and PC is huge! i love my PC

will upgrade again at some point with more RAM and another gtx670 in SLI

im using an amd fx8350 and wanting a decent motherboard resonalably priced SSD and graphics card its a budget build as so far its only cost me 300quid for psu mobo cpu and 16gb ram only requirments are the mobo must have a minimum of 2pcie slots one for graphics card one for wireless card
