ive just got a normal sized case but now you worry me because im assuming the h80/h100 is water cooling andi have no bloody idea what to do with that s**t

Either one would be fine, Yeh it is water cooling but its piss easy. It already comes built so you don't have to put it all together and put water in it haha
I got a H100 and its so easy to install

  FF 182
Just be wary of the screw length though!!! Alot of people, myself included, complaining that the screws included are far too long and WILL pierce the radiator. Corsairs reply was lame, claiming that the screws wont pierce the tubes, just the fins ^^. I had to use about 5mm of spacers just so the screws didnt ruin the radiator.

Edit* Thats on the H100, not sure if above applies to other models.

saints row IV £25
tomb raider £25
hitman absolution £15
bioshock infinate £15
crysis 3 £20

As above, those games are quite easy to come by, and if you check ebay they'll all be worth around half that.

Crysis 3 you'll be lucky to sell (imo), and the others should go *ok*, but depends how you price them - certainly how they are atm is way too high :p

Is anyone's steam library filling up quite quickly? Ever since I found out about humble bundle it's getting pretty crammed! I can see me needing another hard drive at this rate.

Hey guys - quick question.

Looking at upgrading soon, currently in a 800D with watercooled 7970 / i7 950.

Anyway, looking at upgrading to the following (keeping the 7970 for now)

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i7-4770K 3.50GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail £259.99
1 x Asus Z87 MAXIMUS VI GENE Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard £169.99
1 x Parvum Systems S1.0 MicroATX Case - White with Red £139.99
1 x TeamGroup Vulcan RED 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-17100C11 2133MHz Dual Channel Kit (TLD316G2133HC11ADC01) £129.95
Total : £711.92 (includes shipping : £10.00).

Wondering on radiators - the case allows for 2x 240mm radiators - any suggestions on which would be the best? The Alphacool copper ones get good reviews, but don't really want to add copper into the loop.

Still undecided if I'll go for the case yet, but I want to slim down from the 800D as it is, and looking for one that would be ideal for watercooling, and this one looks lovely.

edit: Hmm may scrap it for now - didn't even think about it, but there's no room for my Aquacomputer fan controller (takes up a dvd drive slot).

Love them Parvum cases. If i got one though i would ask them to change the fan holes to a full opening and fit something like these to act as a filter: http://www.mnpctech.com/round120fangrill.mnpctech.com1.jpg.

Curious as to why you dont want copper in your loop though? Its fine to mix copper/nickel/brass, just obviously not aluminium.

I guess it does depend which fluid used, forgot it was alu/copper you can't mix rather than copper/nickel, so technically it would be fine.

Only thing drawing me away from that case now is my fan controller, hmm, maybe a custom version with a dvd slot somewhere for the controller, but tbh there's not really any room anywhere!

There are rumours of them making an ATX case, but not heard anything more than the rumours so that's no good.

Ive seen a few pics of the ATX case they are doing and it looks sweet, unsure if they will be selling to the masses or if its a one off though. They have a build log here: http://www.specialtechforums.co.uk/showthread.php?4320-Parvum-Systems-Project-Magnus

If they made a reverse atx S1.0 i'd be all over it like flies on a turd. My room layout kinda ties me to reverse atx.

Sweet cheers for the link, reverse ATX is basically window on the other side isnt it? Mine's the same!

Sheeet. How many have you actually played/completed?

Addicted - You not into the prodigy? Lovely case IMO.

I love the prodigy, but I'd need the prodigy M, and it looks tight as hell!

I'll look into it again, but I think when I looked into it last time it wasn't ideal either :(

I can't really find much info on the M, even with some google search trickery, so it's hard to find any builds or even any info about it to know if it's viable.

edit: tbh it just looks too small if I want some hdd's in too (that's why I liked the Parvum), I've sent Parvum an email anyway - maybe I'll get a custom one made up :)

Didn't know there was an 'M'. I'll have to take a gander! Not sure on the parvum, but I haven't seen one built up before.
As always though, cases look much different in the flesh.

I've played a fair few of them, not completed that many.

159 now, just bought F1 2013.

Same here, I keep buying as they're so cheap but I'm struggling to find the time to play any of them at the moment.

you're gunna have a hard time selling them at that price. Tomb raider is less than a tenner along with the others.
If you dropped SR4 to £20 then it might sell but still pretty high.

so far sold hitman and bioshock for 15each friends thinking about sr4 for 20 so thats 50quid of the price of my gpu not to bad so far

Thats my thinking.

Im actually thinking I could buy the above and then make a wooden shelf on the outside corner bit to house the PC, so its up off the floor but not on the desk. But then when the new modifications (watercooling etc) have gone in I wont be able to "look at it"

I've got these two in an L shape fixed together:

http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/S19852113/

http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/S29820433/

(In Oak-Veneer with A-Legs), I wanted plenty of 'on-desk' room and with them being in an L-Shape it means I can have my two monitors across the big table and the PC effectively on its own table to the right of me (on show). With them being two separate tables it's also a lot more flexible should I come to move and wanted to alter the layout. With the A-Legs they are height-adjustable as well, so if like me you are on the tall side you can set it just how you want it.

As above, Ikea ones pretty good!

I have this currently after looking around for about a month: http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/60214183/#/70214192

Perfect size for me, fit's 3x 22" monitors nicely.

Just pricing this up atm, thoughts? Upgrade from my current setup, so will bring over my sdd's/hdds/gpu/psu

I think the 540 is the case I want to go for now, looks real smart. Already have my 360 rad + other watercooling stuff also.

Cheers for the links.

Whilst I'm floating about on here who is it that has the Xigmatek Elysium case? Want to know what its like for size (internally).

I'm looking to go watercooling with possibly a bay mount reservoir and pump combo. Think xspc do a pump/res combo

  Evo 5 RS
Hi mate,

I've had the Elysium for a few years now. It's probably internally depth wise the best case before you enter the custom / server market.

I've had no real problems with it, and at 150 quid it's a lot of case for the money. Only thing I'd consider an upgrade is the new Corsair varient - 990 or whatever it is :). Looks to be a nice bit of kit also.

Right my current set-up is as follows..

Xigmatek Asgrad Pro Gaming Case (non windowed version)
Gigabyte GA-Z77 Motherboard
I5 3570K (overclocked to 4.2ghz easily)
Coolermaster EVO 212 cooler
Crucial Ballistix Tracer 1600mhz (8GB of) Blue/Orange leds
MSI HD 7850 Twin Frozr III OC 2048mb
Samsung 830 series 128GB SSD (plans to add more in the near future)
Seagate 1tb Hard drive.

Got it in my head that I want to go watercooling..probably for no other reason then I want to.

Is it "really" worth cooling GPU is what I cant decide? If I do it i wanna do everything cooled and to do that I would need/want to get

Elysium Case = £149 (purely due to it having more space then the Asgard Pro..already found tight areas in that)

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-042-OE&groupid=962&catid=1532

As well as some other little tweaks like possibly changing tubing type, temp monitoring of coolant (XSPC do a Sensor and LCD for £8)

http://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-fc7850-nickel.html (as well as the backing/blanking plate another £20)

Thats around £500 of spending on stuff I dont "really need" but "want" (if that makes any sense!!).
