THE SMALL PRINT!!

I just received my momo boss kit and steering wheel today which I was quite chuffed with until I red the instructions on how to fit it!!

Because there is a resistor to turn the airbag light off on the steering wheel, it also states that none of the cars air bags will work at all!!!? Any body more info on this?

Did not see this written on the websites before I ordered them and I red over it plenty times, bit of a con I'd say!

How do you think it will work if you have removed it from the car? The passenger side will still work.

Why won't any of the others still work? You crash = all air bags deploy. The steering wheel airbag will be 'told' to deploy but it doesn't know that there's nothing there.

Think abarrrrt it :banghead:

If you both read what I said, "it also states that none of the cars airbags will work at all"

the resistor is to bypass the steering wheel airbag, like you said will be told to deploy but nothing is there.

In the paper work it says that NONE of the other ones will work including the passengers when I disconnect the drivers even though there is a resistor in place.

The resistor tricks the airbag computer into thinking there's an airbag there. So there will be no change

That just isn't true.

You need to make sure the resistor is low voltage otherwise it 'could' prevent the others from firing.

Eh? what you trying to say there?
"Make sure the resistor is low voltage?":S Don't you mean to make sure the resistors you use are equal to the resistance the removed airbag had?

That's more reassuring from the last 2 comments from George and Jaff.

The boss kit came with wiring and has a positive and negative going to a 2 amp fuse, which I presume is going to be enough to 'trick' the computer.

Just when I red the instructions it said none of the airbags would work, but I thought different and glad others agree with me.

Fitting it this weekend so will see how that goes, and will let you know if I crash if they deploy haha
