I love the fact you can download XB1 games from the market place, however they're just too expensive. Unless it's an impulse buy or you simply cannot wait for someone like shopto to delivery next day I just don't see the point?

£49.99 for Forza which can be bought for £42 online, it's the same with all the games on there, they should really be more competitive. I'd download Forza now if it was a better price.

MS basically said they can't do them any cheaper as the retailers would go mental, and thats where a lot of their money comes from, as they make much more margin selling direct by download as theres then no wholesale price or manufacture of disk and box and shipping costs. the wholesale cost of a game to a retailer is probably in the region of £30, so if they are selling at 50 they are making more profit and they could even sell it for 40 and make more profit than they do through retail, but as said, the retailers would play their face.

We had this discussion tonight with a few mates. Its a great idea of going disk less but the fact it costs more, not loads more, but it would all add up with the amount of games you buy its not really worth it.

well at the moment you can still get deals on ms points so you could probably get the £49.99 for nearer £45 and if you get them to email the code you can start downloading not long after

Other half got me lego marvel for chrimbo. I'm really enjoying it, but then I'm a fan of all the previous lego games as well as marvel so probably a bit biased. Good fun flying around NYC as ironman or swinging about as spidey etc

Played them demo of that on the 360. Was brilliant fun and a good co-op game.

Even my missus likes it.

I've just completed the Lego Marvel game and really enjoyed it. Just a few of the flying quests that majorly pi$$ed me off but, apart from that, it was good. Even my folks and better half didn't mind as I played it over Christmas... Hulk Smash!

I bought an XB1 yesterday and I'm having some trouble with FIFA.

Apoogies if it's been mentioned already but every time a game on my career ends I get booted back to the home screen and it doesn't save. I've just spent an hour in the transfer window, played my first game and then I got booted back to the home screen and none of it has saved, which is weird as when I initially load the game it says auto save is enabled.

Is is this an issue across the board and can I do anything to try and rectify it?

Started a career with City, Bought Diego Costa & MAts Hummels, beat Seville in my first friendly, and it goes back to the XBO Home screen :S

I don't know what to do as I don't want to play another game for it to happen again, it seems like I'm never going to progress past the first game.

It's the download mate. It's just happened two times again for me! Luckily I saved all of my transfers but I just can't get past this first game.

I've just searched the internet and found a way to fix it, this is from an EA representative:


Go to the home screen, go to the practice tile, use the RS and scroll to change practice player. Change the practice player and somehow it sorts it out.


A very weird way but it worked for me

On the home screen, go across one to 'play', on the bottom right tile is skill games, scroll across that tile with RS and 'select arena player'

RYSE is surprisingly awesome.

Ryse is surprisingly good... reviews were a bit 'meh' but I enjoyed it. As said, it's not long-lived but worth a punt I reckon.

I also enjoyed Lego Marvel Super Heroes and currently starting out with Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag. It seems pretty good.

Lego Marvel.
Great game to mess about on and fly all over the place.

Good game to begin with, but did you not find it gets a bit samey? The combat is just so dull after a while, too few moves and the enemies all seem to be mostly the same.

For me personally it works out better to buy separate as im not a fan of battlefield or Alan partridge.
