TheWheelSpecialist?

  Turbo'd MX-5 MK4
Anyone used TheWheelSpecialist? I'm thinking of getting my 18"s done and was wondering how people found the wheels afterwards?

I'm especially interested in those who used the North London branch and / or used the sameday service.

Cheers,

Gareth

Cheers guys, they look good but my main concern is how durable the finish is as the warranty is only 12 months.

I have had 2 sets of wheels done, My first set was from a wee old man that deals in shot blasting & powder coating all kinds of odds and sods and his finish was unreal and they look like they have a real thick coating but the trophy wheels that the wheel Specialist done dont look that think / durable

Here is the wheels that i got done from the wee back lane shack.

That's what I mean, I don't know what you guys paid but it's £380 for my 18"s and if the finish doesn't last longer than 12 months I'd rather not bother.

LOL, It'll last more than 12months. I had my turbines done in white and were mint! Christopher had has turinis done years ago in white and had a bit of yellowing (probably not sealed correctly) but he's just been back to have them done again, and look top quality. I wouldn't go else where tbh.

You get what you pay for.

My white 17" speedlines have been done for 3 years and still polish up like they are in the photos above but saying that i paid £80 a wheel

My stepdad owns the Leeds branch. Fred knows the owner of the main branch in Brum.

By far one of the best companies, around here anyway. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for.

Got my 18" p1 wheels done in the Glasgow branch and they did a top job for £240 all in. Highly recommended!

Oh yeah, if you sign up to their newsletters they sometimes send out emails about discounts. When I got mine done I got 25% off!

I'm in no hurry, I don't really want to spend £380 on it, a new set of wheel caps will cost me £40 and then I'll be needing some new tyres as well most probably, I have got the impression discounts are given and I'm prepared to wait, but thanks for the heads-up.

We have had many sets done with Brian at the wheel specialist in Leeds and the service is great, the finish is also really good and would say 95% Perfect which compared to most wheel re-furbishers is great. I think our 17-18" cost about £220 a set. The other places which I would recommend are Pristine and Lepsons but they are the other side of the country to me so only use them for very special wheels but they are always 100% perfect finish. I know this isn't the North London branch but thought I'd give you an idea to the cost we normally pay. The same day service is really convenient and always reliable!!

Had two sets of wheels done by the Leeds chaps and can't fault them - even sorted out a tyre swapping session for me between the wheels to avoid any damage.

Don't think I'll ever go anywhere else while they're still trading :)

And regarding durability keep em clean and they'll last for ages - mine are still perfect two years on and through two winters...
