think i found my leak

not a very good pic. but both side windows are the same. the seal is slightly loose and not sealed against the body work. which expalins why i get a slight dribble of water in below 1/4 casings.

how do i go about sorting this? and price?

That cant be it mate, the window is also held in with screen glue, my side window rubbers look like that and my qtrs are dry.

^^This. Will either be door seals, boot seal or sunroof. Only way to find leaks is to strip the interior really.

Anyway of visually seeing that the door and boot rubbers are leaking?

Sit in the car and get someone to get a hosepipe on each window.

how to the 1/4 casings come off? havent looked yet. are the screws obvious? then just pull hard?

If your on about the rear qtr interior panels, then you have to un bolt the belt on a single nut, pull the door rubber away from the edge amd carefully pull it off the clips.


With regards to the leak, make sure the door rubbers are pushed down properly, check to see if there is any wear on them or where some one might have used a screw driver to push them back on, checking for marks.
Its not the sunroof if you dont have one but check the small plastic panels where your roof rails may go.

What's a 1/4 casting. look at the boot first. is it wet under the rear seats

Under rear seat has a few damp spots

Leaking onto carpet from here

Which is where the interior rear quarter trims meat the carpet.

To find it best bet is to strip the rear out only takes a couple of hours.
sit in and let some one run the hose over it. (no pressure).
And see if you can see anything.

Yeah think thats the only logical way. Hopefully is something easily fixable. Like a crap grommet or boot rubber.

only problems i have seen which is hard is the seems split along the roof under the little plastic trims.
other easy ones are gromits and seals.
does it look like the windows are standard glass

Yeah i think so, got all the writing on etc.
I have looked at the two circle seals by the tail lights, when i push them they bubble and dribble water.

yeah there most common for leaking under the rear seats. boot is the first to get wet. i have never seen it come out of the seat belt holes or rear 1/4 panels

are these car common for boot leaks? just had all boot out and there is water in spare wheel well

Seems so. Ive still not found my problem though.

Think its the black bungs in the boot water channel. By the tail light clusters.

Need to strip the rear out, have someone run a hose over it and see where its coming in. I just cba to strip it out.

I think mine is leaking from the blanking strips above rear windows yours could be this too?

Blanking strip? It might be. Mines leaking into the resr bench area.

mine leaks ingo the boot past the rear lights. From above, the plugs innthe boot are sealed so it can only be from the as it isnt the window. when we have some dry weather i will silicone it and let you know the outcome

I found my leak its the door seal how much are these
